The Am Hartmannsgalgen nature reserve is located in the district of Bad Kreuznach in Rhineland-Palatinate. The 12.8-hectare nature reserve, which has existed since 1988, is located to the south-west of the local community of Dorsheim. The gravel pit with its water and shallow water zones as well as steep areas are protected as a habitat for rare and endangered wild plants, plant communities and wild animal species. The area is also used for scientific purposes.
