The Badischbruch nature reserve is located in the district of Birkenfeld in Rhineland-Palatinate. The approximately 19-hectare area, which was placed under protection in 1987, extends to the south-west of the local community of Bruchweiler. The aim of the protection is to preserve the alder quarry at the foot of a stony quartzite slope as a habitat for rare and endangered wild plants and plant communities.
