Nature Park

A Nature Park is a protected landscape that has been preserved in its present state by means of long-term planning and agriculture and is promoted in terms of tourism.

The Bavarian Forest Nature Park is home to rare and endangered animal and plant species. It forms part of the largest continuous forest area in Central Europe – the "Green Roof of Europe." The park's core missions include nature conservation and landscape management, recreation and visitor guidance, environmental education and public outreach, as well as support for regional development.
