Description & Map
Summary
The Elm-Lappwald Nature Park includes the two mountain ranges that give it its name, as well as parts of the Dorm. You can discover the diversity of nature in the park on foot or on two wheels: Forests, moors, heath, lakes, fields and wildflower meadows make for a relaxing stay. The cultural diversity is also evident in imposing megalithic tombs, idyllic half-timbered towns, churches and monasteries, castles and palaces. The oldest hunting weapons of mankind can be marvelled at in the museum in Schöningen.
