The Gerolsteiner Dolomites Nature Reserve (Auberg, Munterley, Hustley, Papenkaule, and Juddenkirchhof) is located in the Vulkaneifel district of Rhineland-Palatinate, within the city of Gerolstein and the municipality of Pelm. The approximately 102-hectare area, designated as a protected site in 1990, consists of two separate sections. The reserve encompasses the center of the Gerolsteiner limestone basin with dolomite rock formations and fossil-bearing sedimentary layers at Auberg, Munterley, Hustley, and Papenkaule. The purpose of protection is the preservation of these biotopes.
