Designated as a Natura 2000 site (FFH-Gebiet), Grünzer Berge safeguards important European habitats. The Stiftung für Umwelt- und Naturschutz Mecklenburg-Vorpommern manages this special place. While public access is limited, a path along the northwestern edge offers views into this unique natural environment, inviting quiet observation of its biodiversity.
