Haarberg-Höllberg

Nature Reserve

Beschreibung und Karte

The Haarberg-Höllberg nature reserve is located in the district of Alzey-Worms in Rhineland-Palatinate and covers around 38 hectares. It was placed under protection in 1988 and extends north and northeast of the municipality of Neu-Bamberg – along the Appelbach and Ellerbach streams. The reserve is characterized by an extraordinary diversity of habitats: species-rich steppe grasslands, heathlands, structurally rich low and medium forests, rocky areas and scree slopes, scrub and fringe zones, and near-natural valley areas with flowing waters.
