Haardtrand – Faulenberg is a nature reserve in Rhineland-Palatinate, covering about 14 hectares. Established in 1991, this protected area lies near the southwestern edge of the village of Gleisweiler and preserves the region’s characteristic natural and cultural landscapes. The reserve features a blend of vineyard terraces, shrublands, forest edges, and dry habitats typical of the Haardtrand area. These diverse environments create important living spaces for many plant and animal species, reflecting the longstanding relationship between traditional land use and nature conservation. Haardtrand – Faulenberg is a valuable part of the Southern Wine Route’s unique landscape, where natural beauty and cultural heritage come together in harmony.
