The Haardtrand nature reserve – In der Rüstergewann is located in the district town of Bad Dürkheim in the district of Bad Dürkheim in Rhineland-Palatinate. The approximately 44.0-hectare area, which has been under nature conservation since 1989, extends directly west of the Bad Dürkheim district of Leistadt. The L 517 and B 271 state roads run east of the area, while the 50-hectare Felsenberg-Berntal nature reserve extends to the northeast. The purpose of the protection is to preserve and develop an area characterized by a diverse pattern of use, including vineyards, orchards, shrubbery and fringe biotopes, as well as forest and forest edge areas.
