Beschreibung und Karte

The Hartenberg/Steincheswiese nature reserve is located in the Westerwald district of Rhineland-Palatinate. The area, which covers approximately 18.56 hectares and was designated as a protected area in 1990, consists of two sections situated northwest and southeast of the municipality of Molsberg. To the south and west runs the state road L 315, and to the west the B 8. The aim of the protection is to preserve and develop the area as a habitat for endangered animal species, as well as a site for rare and threatened wild plants and plant communities – also for scientific reasons.
