Extensive Calluna sand heaths shape the steep slopes and the partially deeply incised valleys of Brunsberg.
In some areas, crowberry (Empetrum nigrum) spreads, while in wetter spots, even up here, the cross-leaved heath (Erica tetralix), which usually prefers moorland, can be found. Throughout the area, bilberry grows within the heaths, enriching the species diversity of these dwarf shrub heaths.
