The Kelterdell and Kuckuckslay nature reserve near Echternacherbrück is located in the Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm in Rhineland-Palatinate. The 61.7-hectare area was placed under protection in 1991 and extends to the north-west of the local community of Echternacherbrück. Not far to the south are the L 1 state road, the River Sûre and the state border with Luxembourg. The Fölkenbach stream flows to the west and the B 257 federal road runs to the east. The purpose of the conservation area is to preserve valuable semi-dry grasslands rich in orchids and heat-loving scrubland, species-rich deciduous forest and rock ecosystems as well as extensively utilised grassland and orchards as a habitat for rare and endangered animal and plant species, in particular bird and insect species.
