The Krausenbruch is a nature reserve covering around 27,3 hectares in the district of Kaiserslautern, located in the municipalities of Eulenbis, Rodenbach, and Weilerbach. It encompasses the Mooslauter floodplain with diverse habitats such as reed beds, shallow water zones, meadows, and adjacent grassland. These structurally rich wetlands provide an important habitat for rare plant species and endangered animal species. The aim of the protection is the long-term preservation of this ecologically valuable area, also from a scientific point of view.
