Lindians Seifen

Nature Reserve

Description & Map

The Lindians Seifen nature reserve is located in the district of Altenkirchen (Westerwald) in Rhineland-Palatinate. The approximately 60-hectare area, which was placed under protection in 1986, lies to the west of the local community of Elkenroth and stretches along the Lindianseifen stream and the district road 116. The state road 288 runs not far to the east. The aim of the nature reserve is to preserve the alder swamp forest and the basalt boulder screes as habitats for rare, endangered and species-rich animal and plant species.
