The Meirother Kopf and Tiefenstein nature reserve is located in the district of Ahrweiler in Rhineland-Palatinate. The area of around 98 hectares was placed under protection in 1986 and lies to the west of the local community of Wehr. The objectives of the protected area are to preserve the area for scientific and regional reasons due to its special geological structures as well as its landscape-defining beauty and uniqueness.
