Description

The NSG Brink nature reserve safeguards and maintains unique communities and habitats for wild animal and plant species. It features valuable moist grasslands, extensive reed beds, sedge areas, ponds, and woodlands. A notable resident is the tree frog. The area is characterized by wet hummock structures within the grasslands, forming permanent pools, and a central, seasonally wet excavation area. In the north, a light birch forest complex thrives on a thin peat layer over clay, representing former wet heath landscapes. This protected natural space ensures the conservation of its special biotopes and inhabitants for the future.
