The Emmerbach nature reserve is dedicated to preserving the Emmerbach stream and its valuable surrounding open lands. This area is crucial for the protection, development, and restoration of diverse plant communities and the habitats of various animal species, notably the Helmet Azure Damselfly (Helmazurjungfer), a species of community interest under the FFH Directive. The reserve also secures extensively used grasslands and the special care of the stream's banks and verges, which are vital for the damselfly.
