Beschreibung und Karte

The Idarbach spring nature reserve is located in the district of Birkenfeld in Rhineland-Palatinate. The approximately 10-hectare area, which was placed under protection in 1987, lies to the south-west of the local community of Allenbach and includes the source of the Idarbach. The aim of the protection is to preserve the heavily marshy source region of the Idarbach as a habitat for rare and endangered wild plants and plant communities.
