The Quellsumpf Ziegensteine near Groß Stresow is a significant nature reserve within the Southeast Rügen Biosphere Reserve. Its primary purpose is the preservation of a rare spring bog, a vital habitat for specialized flora and fauna. A clear stream, up to a meter wide and 30 centimeters deep, meanders through the area, fostering unique wetland ecosystems. Adjacent to this natural landscape lies the cultural monument known as the Ziegensteine, an ancient megalithic tomb that adds historical depth to the site. The area's largely undisturbed development ensures a thriving environment for its protected features. A path on the northern edge provides opportunities to observe the bog and its surroundings.
