Summary
A Special Protection Area, or SPA, is established for the birds as a requirement of the Birds Directive. Combined with the Habitat Directive, they make up the Natura 2000 network.
Description
Das Taubertal ist ein wichtiges Gebiet für Offenland- und Waldarten (Neuntöter, Wendehals, Rotmilan und Spechte) und Eisvogel. Mit dem NSG 'Großer Lindleinsee' ist zudem ein überregional bedeutsames Gebiet für Wasservögel einbezogen.
