The nature reserve Tongrube Am Lantershofener Galgen is located in the district of Ahrweiler in Rhineland-Palatinate. The area of around 8.4 hectares was placed under protection in 1989 and is located to the north-west of the Lantershofen district. The aim of the protection is to preserve and develop the water areas, shallow water zones, wetlands and dry areas as habitats for rare and endangered animal and plant species as well as for scientific reasons.
