Nature Reserve

Description & Map

The Tongrube nature reserve near Utscheid is located in the Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm in Rhineland-Palatinate. The approximately 5-hectare area was placed under protection in 1996 and extends south of the local community of Utscheid. The B 50 federal road runs not far to the west. The purpose of the conservation area is the preservation and development of secondary biotopes of a former clay pit in the Bitburger Gutland.
