The protected area aims to preserve and develop a region characterized by a diverse pattern of land use, featuring vineyards of varying management intensity, orchards, scrub and fringe habitats, forest and forest edge areas, dry stone walls, and vineyard terraces. A central objective is the conservation and promotion of the area as a habitat for rare plant species and plant communities, as well as a living space for rare and partially endangered animal species.
