Description & Map

The Wawerner Bruch nature reserve is located in the district of Trier-Saarburg in Rhineland-Palatinate. The 43.81-hectare area was placed under protection on 24 January 1990 and is located in the area of the local community of Wawern to the west of the town centre. The area is a wetland biotope zone with reedbeds, tall sedge reeds, wet tall herbaceous meadows and a section of a silted-up Saar meander.
