The Wingertsberg Nature Reserve, nestled in the Hunsrück's Soonwald near Brauweiler in the Bad Kreuznach district, is picturesquely situated on the south-southwest flank of the Halgersberg, overlooking the Simmerbach. Designated a protected area in 1982, its primary purpose is the preservation of its valuable dry grasslands.
