Designated paths/places from 01. April until 31. October
The Achental-West Rest Area extends along the eastern flank of the Karwendel Mountains, north of Pertisau. An often abrupt transition of the mountain flanks directly into the Achensee creates particularly remarkable habitats such as the rubble cones Breitgries and Gaisalm on the shore of the Achensee with especially adapted plant communities (mountain pines and Erica). Otherwise, real tranquility prevails in the Achental-West Rest Area, as the area is difficult to access.
